The hotel

The idea of building a hotel in the heart of the city at first came up in 1867. Hotel Erzsébet was opened in 1873, the year when Budapest, the Hungarian capital, was born by the union of Pest, Buda and Óbuda. The small hotel was named - with her permission - after Sissi, Queen Elizabeth (Erzsébet), the wife of Emperor Francis Joseph, ruling that time the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. Since then the hotel was completely re-built.
The hotel is situated in the heart of the city within a few minutes stroll from the primary business-, financial-, cultural-, and business centres and the famous shopping street, the Váci utca. Due to its perfect location the hotel is suitable for tourists and business travellers as well.

Cancellation and children policy

In case of cancellation within 48 hours before arrival 50% of the price of the first night is charged.
If you fail to show up or your cancellation is within 24 hours of arrival the price of the first night is charged.

Under age 12 one child can stay free in the room of the parents. In case of a family arriving with more than one child under 12 years instead of two double rooms the price of two single rooms is to be paid.
